JANUARY — Quartzsite + Western AZ loop

Quartzsite Big Tent (Jan 15–23, 2027 official) + QIA Pow Wow gem show (Jan 20–24) + La Posa BLM boondocking ($40/14 days or $180/season, confirmed current) → north to Lake Havasu Balloon Fest (Jan 21–24, GA $20/4-day, RV lots $240–440/stay) → east to Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale (Jan 23–31, RV at WestWorld $57.01/night). All within a ~2-hour radius.

FEBRUARY — Phoenix/Scottsdale + Tucson loop (the richest month)

Phoenix metro: Renaissance Festival opens Feb 6 ($36 adult/$24 child), WM Phoenix Open Feb 8–14 ($75–160+/day), Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show Feb 11–21 ($15/day — NOT free, correction), Wickenburg Gold Rush Days ~Feb 12–15 (rodeo $20). WestWorld's $57.01/night RV lot covers Barrett-Jackson + Phoenix Open + Arabian Show all in the same ~3-week window — one extended stay could anchor all three. Then south to Tucson: Gem Show flagship Feb 11–14 ($15/day), Tubac Arts Feb 10–14 (free, RV parking $20), Tucson Rodeo Feb 20–28 (from $20).

LATE FEB–MARCH — swing west to the California desert

Coachella Valley: National Date Festival (GA $10–15) + Palm Springs Modernism Week (à la carte $20–350/event) → Anza-Borrego wildflower peak (FREE entry, $10/vehicle at some trailheads; camping $35–45/night or free dispersed) → exit east through Yuma (Lettuce Days ~$10, Midnight at the Oasis $1–20 à la carte/$25 weekend passport).

Dead / don't chase (verified defunct)

Northwest String Summit — appears DEFUNCT as of this sweep (2026-07-15). Its actual final year was 2022; no 2026 edition found anywhere (venue calendar, Songkick both show nothing). Kept in the radar marked defunct, not deleted — verify by calling Horning's Hideout before planning around it.
Sierra Nevada World Music Festival — status UNCERTAIN. 2024 edition was cancelled days before start (financial trouble, no refunds); no confirmed edition since; official site has no ticket page. Do not treat the "June 2027" date as real without a relaunch announcement.
Lucidity (Santa Barbara Co.) — permanently closed, last event 2023.
Faerieworlds (OR) — dissolved 2023.
What The Festival (OR) — discontinued (~2018).
Symbiosis / Oregon Eclipse — Oregon Eclipse was one-time 2017; Symbiosis dormant.
Summer Meltdown (WA) — on hiatus; possible successor Re/Evolution Summerjam (Aug 5–10 '26, Darrington — CONFIRMED real/on-sale this sweep, dates corrected to a 6-day run).
FairWell Festival (Redmond, OR) — not returning 2026.

Ticket pricing gaps found this sweep (genuinely unpublished/blocked, not a search miss): Timber! + Re/Evolution Summerjam base price (JS-blocked checkouts), Beloved 2026 pricing/dates (not yet published anywhere), Jacob Collier + 2 of 3 Jason Bonham dates (Ticketmaster/Etix bot-blocked — Shelton WA confirmed at $70.48), Festival Mozaic per-concert prices (call 805-781-3009), Tucson Rodeo RV overnight cost (call 520-294-1280), High Sierra + Ten Mile Creek camping add-ons (unpublished by the festivals themselves). Most 2027 AZ/CA winter event pricing simply isn't live yet — re-check fall 2026.
